If you are a regular reader here at A Family Feast, you might have noticed that we’ve got a bit of a pattern going with our posts this week!  Decadent recipe…healthier recipe…decadent recipe…today’s healthier recipe…  For us – especially as food bloggers – it’s all about trying to find balance with what we eat!

In between preparing the rich and creamy pasta recipes, and the sweet desserts that we often share here on A Family Feast, Jack and I try as much as possible to eat a healthy diet that includes lots of fruits and vegetables!  Our Avocado Poppy Seed Dressing allows us to enjoy the best of both worlds – a rich, sweet and creamy dressing that’s filled with nutrients and naturally good fats thanks to delicious, ripe Hass avocados!

Avocado Poppy Seed Dressing - A easy and super delicious dressing that is great on fruit salads, or used as a dip! #LoveAvocado

Our avocado poppy seed dressing is quick and easy to make – and it’s also very versatile!  We like to toss it with cut fruit (and chunks of ripe avocado!) for a delicious fruit salad.  Or – it also makes a delicious, creamy dip next to a fruit platter.  I’ve even used this as a regular salad dressing over crisp lettuce and vegetables!  And because avocados are nutrient-dense, cholesterol-free, sodium-free and have less than one gram of sugar per serving, they are a great substitute for foods that are high in saturated fats.
