These Bourbon Truffles are a delicious, easy, no-bake, grown-ups-only treat!

Today’s recipe is a grown-ups-only sweet treat that is perfect for the holidays! You might be a little surprised to see crushed Honey Nut Cheerios on the ingredients list – but trust me, this dessert is not for the kids!

These Bourbon Truffles are super easy to make! Straight Kentucky bourbon is mixed with cocoa, powdered sugar, crushed walnuts and those crushed Honey Nut Cheerios that we mentioned above. The mixture is formed into little balls and then rolled in powdered sugar to give it a snowy white coating.

These Bourbon Truffles are a delicious, easy, no-bake, grown-ups-only treat!

These are an adult treat that is sure to please – especially if you love bourbon. Adapted from the classic Joy of Cooking cookbook, we followed the basic method outlined in their bourbon balls recipe, but changed out several of the ingredients.

These yummy treats are super delicious – and pack a nice little punch of flavor! In fact, both Jack and I had a difficult time trying not to gobble these down before we took the photographs for this post!

  1. I’m so intrigued by the cheerios in these, I bet they add great texture – so fun! And yay to whiskey-infused truffles! 😉

  2. I have actually never used bourbon in any of my cooking. I’ve always wanted to just have never bothered to buy it. This seems like a pretty good excuse to get my butt to the liquor store.

  3. So then….with the addition of the Honey Nut Cherrios I’m assuming these are heart healthy? LOL
Just kidding of course, but what an interesting ingredient. Your bourbon truffles look amazing!

  4. My grandmother was always the one making bourbon truffles each Christmas and my hubby loved them and has been begging me to make some since she passed. I just need to make them sugar free lol!

  5. Gorgeous, as always! These are my faves!! I make Bourbon Truffles all throughout the year… I also eat most of them before anyone gets home…. so that’s that. 😀

  6. I am not sure I have ever had bourbon but that would not stop me from wanting these! They look great!

  7. I’ve only had meat cooked in bourbon and my taste buds went wild. I really liked the presentation with the white coating. Pretty. The crushed honey nut cheerios is really unique, but like you said, not for the kids!
