Frequently Asked Questions
- How do I store this Spice Rub for Chicken? We suggest storing it in an airtight glass jar in a cool place.
- How long can I store it? As long as you are mixing this spice rub with fresh ingredients, and store it correctly, you can keep it for up to a year. (Maybe even a little longer!) Just keep in mind that once spices are exposed to air, they begin to lose their potency, so the longer you store it in your cabinet, the less potent the flavors will become. If you don’t expect to use this rub very often, it’s better to make a smaller amount.

Have you used this rub on skinless chicken? We do steaks and pork chops/loins in our countertop infra-red convection oven with rubs, but haven’t seen any for chicken before. Since we have about 8 months so winter here, outdoor grilling season is just way too short, and this has been a fantastic alternative.

I have a couple rubs on my blog, as well, but not one like this. I can’t wait to try it!
I love experimenting with and making rubs at home, it’s so much cheaper than the ones premade in the stores! And I can control sodium content! 😉
