Our delicious, homemade Bourbon Peach BBQ Sauce is sweet and rich with a kick of spicy, smoky flavor!
If you’ve been a reader of A Family Feast for a while, then you may already know that my husband Jack is a fan of making his own homemade barbecue sauces.
Counting today’s delicious Bourbon Peach BBQ Sauce, we have a total of eight homemade barbecue sauce recipes on our website right now. (And there’s no doubt in my mind – more will be coming!)
How do you make this homemade barbecue sauce?
This Bourbon Peach BBQ Sauce is sweet, rich and delicious! Peach slices (fresh or frozen will work) are combined with sautéed onions, jalapeno pepper, and bourbon, then simmered together with a little bit of water until the peaches are super tender.
Next, the cooked peaches are blended with molasses, honey, soy sauce, and both apple cider vinegar and balsamic vinegar – plus a variety of seasonings. Then the sauce is simmered until thickened – and the flavors both intensify and meld together into one fantastic homemade barbecue sauce!
Homemade barbecue sauces are a lot of fun to make and this Bourbon Peach BBQ Sauce is one of Jack’s best! Better yet – it’s made with lots of ingredients you probably already have in your kitchen – so anyone can make this delicious Bourbon Peach BBQ Sauce at home!

Sounds delicious but I am allergic to honey! What can I substitute?
Martha says
You could try agave nectar or perhaps golden syrup. They each have different sweetness levels so you may want to start with less and add more to suit your tastes.
