When friends come over to our house, we often have a “Make Your Own Pizza” night – where we put out lots of different meats, toppings and sauces. Each guest can create their own favorite pizza and it is a great way to get your dinner guests interacting and having fun!
When it comes to my turn to make a pizza – I always make the same kind: this White Chicken Pizza!
I start by spreading on a creamy, white Béchamel Sauce (see yesterday’s post where we show you how to make it!) over our favorite homemade perfect pizza dough. Then I swirl spoonfuls of pesto on top of the béchamel.
Finally, some grilled chicken, roasted bell peppers, wilted baby spinach and a generous sprinkle of shredded mozzarella cheese go on top – and it’s all baked in the oven until hot and bubbly!
You can of course – change up the toppings however you’d like. But I encourage you to try swapping out a typical red pizza sauce for some béchamel sauce the next time you make pizza. I think you’ll love it!
