In honor of St. Patrick’s Day today, we’re sharing the recipe for one of our favorite green smoothies – this Honeydew Melon Smoothie!
This healthy smoothie makes a great quick breakfast or snack and is chock full of healthy ingredients. A combination of frozen chunks of honeydew melon are combined with skim milk, vanilla yogurt and a generous handful of baby spinach helps give this smoothie it’s fresh green color as well as a ton of nutrients. This smoothie is lightly sweet and creamy with a very refreshing flavor!
Honestly – please don’t be put off by adding spinach greens in a smoothie! The flavor of fresh baby spinach is so mild, you won’t even notice it – and the added vitamins help make this honeydew melon smoothie a wonderful healthy and filling drink.
Like we talked about here, anytime we have leftover, fresh melon of any kind in our refrigerator, we cut it into chunks and then freeze it for use later in recipes like this honeydew melon smoothie! When you do this, you’ll always have fruit on hand when you want to whip up a delicious smoothie.
