Salted Caramel Pecan Chocolate Chip Cookies

Salted Caramel Pecan Chocolate Chip Cookies are loaded with all kinds of delicious mix-ins, plus a sprinkle of sea salt on top enhances the sweet flavors.

Ingredients

2 1/2 cups all-purpose flour

1 teaspoon baking soda

1 teaspoon salt

1 cup (2 sticks) butter, softened

3/4 cup granulated sugar

3/4 cup packed brown sugar

1 teaspoon vanilla extract

2 large eggs

1 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips

1 cup caramel bits

1 cup chopped pecans

1 tablespoon coarse sea salt


Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 375° F.
  2. Whisk together flour, baking soda and salt in small bowl.
  3. Beat butter, granulated sugar, brown sugar and vanilla extract in large mixing bowl until creamy.
  4. Add eggs, one at a time, beating well after each addition.
  5. Gradually beat in flour mixture.
  6. Stir in chocolate chips, caramel bits, and pecans until evenly combined throughout the cookie dough.
  7. Portion using small scoop (two tablespoons) onto ungreased baking sheets.
  8. Bake for 9 to 11 minutes or until golden brown.
  9. Sprinkle each cookie with sea salt and allow them to cool on the baking sheet for two minutes to set up slightly.
  10. Remove cookies to wire rack to finish cooling completely.
