Ingredients

1 cup Guinness Stout (or other strong flavored dark ale)

8 ounces cream cheese, softened

8 ounces jack cheese, shredded

8 ounces sharp white cheddar cheese, shredded

1 5.2ounce package Boursin cheese (garlic herb), or make our homemade version

1 teaspoon Cholula hot sauce, or your favorite brand

1 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce

1/2 teaspoon dry mustard powder (we recommend Colman’s)

Pretzel sticks, for dipping

Instructions

Heat beer in a medium sauce pan over medium high heat. Once it starts to boil, lower to medium and whisk in the cream cheese.

After the cream cheese is melted in, add the jack cheese, cheddar cheese, Boursin cheese, hot sauce, Worcestershire sauce and dry mustard and whisk until smooth.

Pour into a serving bowl and serve with the pretzel sticks.

This dip can be made ahead and reheated. It can also be served hot in a small slow cooker.
