Reindeer Munch combines crispy cereal, pretzels, peanuts, holiday M&Ms and sprinkles, plus melted white chocolate. Serve in bowls at all your holiday gatherings or give as gifts!

Ingredients

Scale

6 cups Crispix Cereal (most of a 9.6 ounce box) or Corn Chex

6 cups small pretzels

16-ounces dry roasted salted peanuts

1 1/2 cups plain M&Ms (approximately 1 11-ounce bag), we used red and green holiday colors

4 cups (2 12-ounce bags) Ghirardelli premium white chocolate chips

2 tablespoons vegetable oil

1/4 cup holiday (red & green) sprinkles, optional

Instructions

  1. Line two sheet trays with parchment paper. Set aside.
  2. In a very large bowl, combine cereal, pretzels, peanuts, and M&Ms. (Note that it’s fine to divide the ingredients into two bowls if you don’t have one bowl that is large enough to mix everything together.)
  3. In a microwave-safe bowl, combine white chocolate chips and vegetable oil.
  4. Microwave chocolate until melted, stirring with a spatula after 30-second intervals. Be careful not to overheat the white chocolate – it can seize up and even burn. Stir well after every 30 seconds, allowing the residual heat of the bowl to melt the chocolate.
  5. Pour melted white chocolate over the cereal mixture. With a large spatula, immediately stir and fold the ingredients so the chocolate coats the dry ingredients evenly.
  6. Spoon the coated mixture onto the prepared sheet trays and spread into a flat layer. Add sprinkles over the top if desired.
  7. Chill the sheet pans in the refrigerator until set.
  8. Break the cooled Reindeer Munch into chunks with your hands, then store in air-tight containers at room temperature.
